For the moments when holding it together has started to cost you more than it used to.
Practical coaching for professionals navigating pressure they would rather not admit to. Burnout, stress, anxiety, caught early and worked on steadily, before it becomes something bigger.
Are you waking up already tired?
Have you started saying you're fine when you know you aren't?
Are you taking on more than you did a year ago, and feeling the weight of it?
Have you stopped doing the things outside work that used to reset you?
Are you finding yourself shorter with people you love?
Is switching off getting harder, even when you have time to do it?
Coaching, not therapy. Practical, not performative.
Every service is led directly by James or Jane, who answer every enquiry personally. Sessions are built to fit around a working week.
You'll hear from James or Jane
Every enquiry comes to James or Jane by email. They respond personally, talk through what you're looking for, and only book a session once you both know it's the right fit.
Forward-facing
Coaching is about what you do next. It's not a deep dive into your childhood. It's practical work on what's actually going on now, with structure and direction.
Built to meet you where you are
Sessions are all virtual, by phone or video. Some clients mix both. You don't have to clear a day, take annual leave, or turn up to an office.
James Nilsen-Clarke
James founded OHS for people navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, and the harder stretches of working life. People who want to do something about it now, before they reach crisis.
There is no shortage of advice about wellbeing online. There is a shortage of properly trained people who will sit with you, in your specific situation, and help you work it through.Meet the team
We'd rather have a proper chat first
Coaching only works when the fit is right, so we'd love to hear from you before you book anything. Drop us a short enquiry, tell us what's going on, and James or Jane will come back personally to talk it through.
Send a short enquiryWhat people usually want to know first
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching is forward-facing and goal-led. Therapy tends to process the past; coaching is about what you do next. If what you need is therapy, we'll tell you and point you somewhere suitable.
Do I need to know what's wrong before I get in touch?
No. Plenty of people get in touch when they know something isn't quite right but can't put a finger on it. Part of the early sessions is making sense of what's actually going on. You don't need a diagnosis or a label to start.
What's the difference between coaching with James and coaching with Jane?
James and Jane each lead specific services. James offers 1:1 coaching and walk-and-talk by phone. Jane offers 1:1 coaching and DBT-informed work. The fit comes down to the work you want to do. Both will respond to your enquiry personally so you can talk it through before deciding.
How long does it take?
Most clients start with a block of sessions, weekly or fortnightly. Some need fewer. Some continue with monthly check-ins once the initial block is done. Coaching has an end point, and we plan for it from session one.
Why do I have to enquire rather than just book?
Because we'd rather get the fit right than fill a slot. Every enquiry is read by James or Jane personally. A short enquiry, a short reply, and you'll have a sense of whether it's right before anything's booked.
Do you offer discounts or a sliding scale?
No. Pricing is fixed, with no discounts or sliding scale. Session prices are shared at enquiry stage, once we've confirmed availability and the right service for what you're looking for.
What if I'm in crisis?
OHS isn't a crisis service. If you're in crisis, please contact your GP or call NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999. Once you're stable and supported, coaching can be a steady, forward-facing place to do the work that follows.
